Congratulations on your posting to the USA.

All of your housing and furniture support will be provided by the BDSUS Accommodation Services Team (AST). To contact us, please use the ‘Contact the Accommodation Services Team’ button at the bottom of this page and select either ‘Accommodation’ or ‘Norfolk Accommodation’.

Please refer to Sections 3 – 9 of the Accommodation Policy for details on the housing entitlements. UKBC entitlements are based on family size under the 1 HMG policy and not on the equivalent military rank. We do not mandate a maximum size of property (sq ft) but expect that properties are of a reasonable size based on the JSP limits, properties that are considered to be excessive will not be authorised. We do not provide any additional furniture for larger properties or additional rooms above entitlement. Rent ceilings are based on property sizes with regards to the number of bedrooms.

If you are posted to the DC or Virginia Beach/Norfolk areas you will be asked to complete an Initial Housing Proforma providing details of any personal requirements. Personnel posted to these two areas have the option to have a property sourced for them by AST or to source their own accommodation, personnel posted to all other locations source their own properties on arrival.
